The Big Bow
I've always loved bows. Ever since I was a little tike, I would tie ribbons on the end of my two braids. Once I was in the seventh grade, I realized it wasn't giving off the right impression anymore, and I had to grow up. You can imagine how psyched I was when ribbons and bows came back into style for big girls.
I've recently sewed some big bows, embellished them with button centers and stitched clasps on the back to make brooches. Also, today, I purchaced these hair accessories from Charlotte Russe.

^^These hair pieces, reminiscent of the 1930s and prior were $3.99 for either the headband or the set of four bows.^^Here are some extremely easy looks to try. Tie a thin ribbon onto a long necklace. Or tie a medium width ribbon around your head as a headband for an Alice In Wonderland look.
^^This is the babydoll look. It would take a few stitches to make a tube out of a silky fabric, tied into a bow and then clipped with a bobby pin. for the artistically impared, however, something like this can be found pre-made at a craftstore, or even in the hair accessories section of a boutique.
^^I am obsessed with headbands. My hair is naturally poofy, and not every day is automatically a good hairday for me. I never leave the house without a headband in my purse in case it gets windy or humid. My favorite headbands are the ones with big bows on them. They make any outfit a little bit more adorable and girly.
^^These bow brooches go with any outfit. Just pin them on and you're good to go. Innocent, cute, sweet, and to the point.

Hot Topic, Claires, and Forever 21 are other great places to find bows, too!
I love them all! I've recently been looking for accessories with bows (mainly headbands), but haven't had any luck! I guess I'll just have to get crafty and make some for myself. :) Also, the brooches are just precious.
I think a lot of those bows are over the top. I do have some, but they're similar in size to the girl in the 6th picture, smaller than that actually. It's a totally cute look though. My outfits can look a bit boring at times but just adding my pink bow does wonders for it :]
o these are lovely!!! and i am so sorry about your personal site nightmare.. i am always afraid to disclose personal info because of that!
i love the big bows, it's super cute.
I love bows, but I only buy them from handcrafters. I don't like supporting shops too often, and most girls on etsy make bows that are like, a billion times cuter! Still, its a very Lolita look that I simply ADORE! I want to get more bows soon, but I don't wear cute enough clothes to match them with anything.
i've always loved it. but the brooch is definitely something i need to get! Where can i get some?
Lots of shirts (specifically Vera Wang) shirts at work have bows & stuff on them. I like it but I can get a plain tank & make a bow to stick on cheaper than $40 some odd dollars.
I LOVE bows. They're like a symbol of girliness & youth. I save the ribbons from Victoria Secret bags to use at ribbons from Christmas. Or I can get them from the craft store.

wow... they are all so cute............ omg! i want some bow hairbands now!! XDDD
I love bows, too! When I was in middle school I wore a different bow in my hair everyday. Everyone wore bows back in the day, but like you said, I stopped wearing them eventually because I grew too old. Still love them, though.Â
I was never much for hairbands but these make me want them, especially the very Alice one with the bow right on top.
I love this post. Bows are the best. I wanna wear them all the time, lol.
I've been wondering about bows myself lately. The headband from Charolette Russe is great.
yes yes I'd love to show you about the lolita lifestyle. It's more of something I adore though and a very interesting and diverse fashion at that but here is the best website to get information and if your interested I wouldn't mind scanning a few of my magazine articles in for you. http://www.lolitafashion.org/
on headbands, i love it!
